It seems like a small, insignificant detail, the use of place card holders at your wedding.  You might think what’s the use, what’s the point, or “why do I need them?”  However, there are some things to consider when it comes to determining whether or not you will use a place card holder at your wedding.

Think about it, most of the time a wedding involves any number of people who are involved in or a part of your life.  Not all of these people may be people that you socialize with in the same circles, in fact they might not even be people that you would ever want to have in the same room together.  Let’s face it sometimes our friends and our family just don’t jive.  Or, maybe you have an ex from your past that shows up at the wedding, or parents who are divorced that don’t get along.  The list of “what ifs” could go on and one when it comes to the possible nightmare scenarios that could occur when you begin to “think out” the possibilities once you realize who is actually coming to your wedding.

This is where the use of place cards holders comes into play and can save you alot of heart and headache, by allowing you to set ahead of time who will sit near each other and who will be as far away from each other as possible.  Plus, on top of that they can also serve as an inexpensive, wedding favor as well, serving double duty for you, and checking off two of your “to dos” off of your long list of items to take care of for your upcoming big day.
