Planning the Perfect Reception

February 23, 2009

If it weren’t difficult enough to plan a wedding itself, there are other events that surround the wedding that must be planned as well, from the engagement party, to the rehearsal to the reception.  Everything is important and part of the whole wedding experience so you want each and every event to be unforgettable.

The reception can be anything you want it to be from a short, intimate gathering of your friends and family after the wedding where you receive your congratulations and they bid you farewell with a few drinks to a large food loaded bash with a full-course meal.  The decision is up to you.

You may want to make it short, sweet and intimate with very little decor and just enough to say “thanks for coming.” Or, you may want to go all out with beautiful decorated tables decorated with wedding candles, a big feast and a live band.  Either way, don’t worry this is your day and what you want is what truly matters. You can enjoy it either way.

You can even use the wedding candles on the tables as wedding candle favors to be given ot your guests as they leave.  Because no matter what you choose you’ll want your guests to remember you and your big day.
