Planning A Wedding in a Down Economy
January 26, 2009
Love doesn’t stop for any man or woman right? So, why stop your wedding plans just because the economy is slow? You shouldn’t, however you can and probably should do things that will allow you to save on your wedding expenses. After all budgets are tight and most likely will only get tighter as the forecast for our economy does not seem to have a sunny day in sight.
Some of the best ways to save are: doing as much of your wedding planning and preparation yourself, shopping online for great deals, and downsizing your wedding party and plans.
Do it yourself projects for your wedding can be done for everything from the decorations to the cake. There are many parts of a wedding that can be planned for and created from scratch with ease, saving you a great deal of money in a slow economic time.
You can also shop online for great deals, including cheap wedding favors, discounted wedding party attire, and more from discount stores online, sometimes obtaining free shipping, just be sure to shop ahead of time in order to ensure your items arrive in time for your big day.
Finally, you will want to downsize your wedding party and plans. Don’t count on booking the largest ballroom at the hottest hotel in town, or flying to an all inclusive resort to celebrate, you’ll want to think small and intimate. After all these can be the most meaningful weddings of all.
So, don’t let the economy get you down. Enjoy your wedding planning, the details that you can save on and of course your big day!
