Weddings are popular events no matter what, but the entertainment business has definitely cashed in on weddings making them even more popular.  Shows like The Bachelor and My Big Fat Redneck Wedding aim at making real life weddings and love apart of the television world and part of our “entertainment”.

Another of these shows, Get Married, is launching this season with the most popular wedding attire and wedding experts on their roster.  There were top trends that were revealed on the show including:

• “green” weddings
• budget savvy ideas
• small plates at the reception

All of these trends show that we are all aware of the economy and even Hollywood is showing that on television so, if you find yourself needing to be a little tighter with your wedding budget, don’t be embarrased.  Obviously, even television shows are feeling the pinch and showing it in their trends.

So, if you have to buy cheap wedding favors, or not spend as much on your food don’t feel bad, just realize it is a sign of the times.  Watch these television shows that feature weddings and realize they too are doing the same things!
