Plan a Party

Birthday parties seems to be a bigger deal for kids these days than they did back in my time.  A simple cake, balloons, gifts and a pin the tale on the donkey game satisfied our every wish back then.  Of course that has been twenty years ago and my how times have changed.

For today’s children birthday parties have more essentials than we needed.  So, if you want to plan your child the perfect party there will be a few things that you need to know.

The following are some birthday party essentials for kids today:

1. Entertainment - Kids today must be entertained, without a clown, or games or some activity at their party to entertian them and their friends they will dub the party as “boring“.  This is definitely something you don’t want for your “birthday boy or girl”.

2. Lots of Friends - Inviting their friends to their party is an essential for kids today.  Celebrating with just their family, not good enough.  So, invite all their buddies in order for your child to have a ball.

3.  Goody bags or birthday favors - These are another essential.  Kids know that their friends expect a party favor or a bag of goodies and it is a total letdown to them if you don’t supply.  So, grab the perfect favors to make the party extra special.

4.  The perfect theme- My child asks months before his actual birthday what kind of party he will have this year, by kind he means what theme he’ll have, whether it be football, cowboy, or a specific action figure.  The theme is important to them.

5.  Presents - What party is complete without the presents. No matter how much you wish your house wouldn’t look like a toy store exploded after their birthday, it is just inevitable.
