Baby Shower Bingo - create your own by filling in blank bingo cards or hand making or computer generating your own with the names of items that you use for a baby.

The Toilet Paper Game - you take a roll of toilet paper and pull of the number of sheets you think it would take to wrap around your mom to be.

Diaper Challenge - You see who can put a diaper on a baby the fastest with one of their hands tied behind their back.  Use a baby doll for the “baby”.

The celebration itself hightlights all of the important people in the girl’s life including, God, family, friends, etc.  At this time a girl is said to transcend from being a “girl” to a “young woman” or from a “nina” to a “senorita” as they say in their culture. 

This time is also celebrated with a traditional dance.  The festivities are important to the girls in the Latin community.  The party is full of celebration and fun as in any party.  Gifts may be given as well as quincaenera favors given to those in attendance.

Celebrating is important to all cultures, no matter how it is done.

The reception can be anything you want it to be from a short, intimate gathering of your friends and family after the wedding where you receive your congratulations and they bid you farewell with a few drinks to a large food loaded bash with a full-course meal.  The decision is up to you.

All of these things are perfect questions to ask yourself as you plan.  Decide on guests, location, and food are the most important parts, but then there are other things that you can add to the evening to make it extra special.  These include entertainment and favors, something to make the night memoriable.

Some perfect favors could be a bottle of bubble bath, or make a purse valet, either of these favors are sure to be a hit with the girls. 

Most of all it is important to not stress over all the planning and just to have fun, after all it is a “girl’s night out”.

Some people are just naturally keepsake type people, therefore they think about such things, while others of us, it might never cross our minds.  No matter which type of person you are, it would be nice to consider this and give your wedding guests something that is more of a “keepsake” favor.

Keepsake favors allow your guests to remember you and your wedding day long after the event has gone by.  I have such a favor on my refrigerator as we speak.  The favor was from a friends wedding and is a magnet.  It is something I see daily and think of that friend.  This favor to me says “keepsake” rather than “throw away”.
Other ideas include bookmark favors, picture frame favors, coasters, and the like.

No matter what you choose be sure it is something that your guest will think enough of to actually keep.  That’s the whole point.

There are just a few things you want to remember when planning an affordable beach wedding:

Choose your location wisely. You don’t want to be in a location where alot of people converge normally as you want your wedding to be intimate.  This may mean not inviting as many guests as well.

Plan for minimal decor and for your reception. This may mean that you want to set up in a pavilion or covered area near the beach area that you had your wedding so that it is easier to arrange food, drinks and so they will be protected from the elements as well.

Don’t spend too much just to impress. If you want your wedding to be simple, intimate and fun then don’t worry about what others think you are planning your wedding for you, not for everyone else.  Therefore, even you beach wedding favors can be simple.  There are inexpensive items that can make the perfect favor.

These are some good guidelines to go by as you attempt to plan your affordable beach wedding,  it is doable so don’t get discouraged.

Well, I highly suggest making a pre-party planning list.  List everything you’d like to do for the party including

• its theme,
• supplies needed,
• invitation list,
• location and numbers and information regarding it,
• directions (if necessary) and more.

Don’t leave anything off your list, lest you might forget it
